Founded in 1986, OnTrac has evolved into the leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services in the U.S. for premier e-commerce and product-supply businesses, including five of the largest retailers in the U.S. The Associate Software Developer is responsible for the coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance of internal and external applications. As a junior team member, the associate developer works closely with senior members of the team to complete assigned development tasks, learn new technologies, and gain an understanding of enterprise coding standards.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or 1+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of: C# .Net 8, PostgreSQL, TSQL, Angular
  • Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps a plus)
  • Hands on experience working in integrated development environments
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases and data structures.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Be highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to project and development specifications.
  • Monitor software performance of new and existing programs for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Perform code reviews and software QA for other developers
