About The Position

The Associate Service Technician reports to the Service Manager Located in Duluth, GA Field Based - Full Time The Associate Service Technician – Hot Side is an entry-level field technician responsible for supporting the maintenance, and repair of commercial cooking equipment. Working under the guidance of senior technicians and service leadership, this role develops hands-on technical skills while delivering high-quality service to restaurant, healthcare, education, and institutional clients.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience.
  • Trade school, technical program, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and gas components.
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and schematics (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in commercial kitchen environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with diagnosing and repairing commercial cooking equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, steamers, and ranges.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on hot-side kitchen equipment.
  • Replace basic components such as thermostats, heating elements, switches, valves, and wiring.
  • Follow schematics and manufacturer specifications under supervision.
  • Participate in on-the-job training with Lead and Senior Technicians.
  • Complete manufacturer certification programs as assigned.
  • Build foundational electrical, gas, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain safety standards and proper tool usage.
  • Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations.
  • Communicate service updates clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites.
  • Accurately complete digital work orders and service documentation.
  • Maintain service vehicle cleanliness and proper inventory levels.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and industry regulations.
