About The Position
Temasek is a global investment company headquartered in Singapore, known for its active investment strategies and long-term investment horizon. The company is seeking a junior investment professional at the Associate or Senior Associate level to join its Public Markets team in New York. This role is integral to the Investment Group, which manages discretionary portfolios and collaborates closely with colleagues to generate, analyze, and implement investment ideas across single stocks and indices globally. The selected candidate will work closely with investment colleagues in the US, including those in San Francisco and Washington D.C., and will also engage with teams across Temasek's global offices. The role encompasses all aspects of the investment process, from conducting due diligence to obtaining committee approval and monitoring investments post-approval. The candidate will be expected to support the team in evaluating new investment ideas, monitoring portfolios, creating presentations for the investment committee, and eventually recommending new investment opportunities. The Public Markets team is focused on building detailed integrated financial models, analyzing key commercial and financial drivers, and conducting thorough research to form views on business models and sector developments. The candidate will track core public equity holdings, providing quarterly insights through various channels, including data monitoring and discussions with analysts and company management. Over time, the candidate will combine these responsibilities to generate actionable investment ideas for Temasek's public equity holdings, while also supporting project teams in ad hoc projects and reporting tasks.
