About The Position

Brandeis University Undergraduate Admissions is accepting applications for the position of Associate /Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, On-Campus and Virtual Events. The Associate/Senior Associate Director will plan and execute a strategy for all on-campus and virtual event programming such as daily visits, prospective student open houses, admitted student visit days, group visits, and myriad online events. The Associate/Senior Associate Director partners closely with colleagues across campus, including the Conference & Events Office, Student Life Office, faculty members, and Facility Services. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this position will serve as a direct supervisor for a team of up to four full-time professional staff members. In addition, this individual will serve as a member of the undergraduate senior admissions team and support the overall execution of strategic departmental, division, and institutional enrollment goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5-8+ years related work experience, including supervisory/management experience.
  • Exceptional process management skills, organizational skills, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Ability to strategically utilize and analyze data to make informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Must be organized, an excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to prioritize and work with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with admissions staff, high school counselors, and constituents across campus.
  • Computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft applications required; Slate Technolutions, Workday preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead event strategist and manager for all on-campus and virtual programming for both prospective and admitted students.
  • Use data-driven decision making to evaluate the efficacy of this programming; propose and implement changes based on data.
  • Manage an operational budget for all event programming.
  • Supervise four professional staff members who are responsible for the management of a 40-person student fellows program, group visits, selection related projects, domestic recruitment, and lobby maintenance.
  • Oversee the interviewing and hiring of new Admissions Counselors and Assistant Directors.
  • Participate in duties required of all admissions counselors, including travel, interviewing, holistically reading, evaluating applications, conducting on and off campus presentations regarding the University and admissions programs, and individually connecting with as needed.
