Requirements

  • Capital markets structuring experience with a preference for a background in private equity, mezzanine finance, leveraged loans, equity research, secondaries, or M&A.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and using financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work hard in a team-oriented, performance-based environment.
  • A self-starter that requires limited oversight in the completion of individual projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 1 - 4 years of relevant experience including a private equity fund, hedge fund, investment bank, consulting firm, or a related capital markets position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across PEJC.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents.
  • Assist with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments, including regular communication with private equity firms, management teams and third-party clients.
  • Develop and manage relationships with private equity firms and other intermediaries to generate investment deal flow.
  • Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives.
