About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join the Tissue Culture Core facility within our Therapeutic Proteins department. You will provide key support to the R&D cell culture needs by cell line inventory management, cell expansion, quality control, and other ancillary activities. Requirements

  • BS/MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field
  • 0-3+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Experience working with tissue culture, including thawing, freezing, maintaining cell lines, etc.
  • General lab maintenance and sterile technique
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail
  • Able to collaborate across groups in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in interacting with collaborators across the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cell line engineering using lentiviral and CRISPR/Cas9 technology
  • Operating automated cell line storage equipment

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining various mammalian cell lines for inventory expansion
  • Overseeing general lab maintenance
  • Using software to manage tissue culture services and workflows
  • Supporting efforts in cell line engineering projects
  • Working with automated cell culture and/or cell line storage systems
