About The Position

As a function of Product Development/Technical Operations team, the job candidate is required to work in the lab performing bench trials, physical raw materials/products evaluations, and assist with pilot trials. The candidate will be responsible for developing new formulas, reformulating existing products, providing support to manufacturing, collecting and analyzing data with assistance from a PD/Tech Ops staff. Additionally, the candidate must be self-motivated, able to work in a team-based environment and possess both mechanical and mathematical aptitude.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal communication, and organization skills
• Ability to use the principles of general science, chemistry, and physics to produce formulations that will run efficiently in manufacturing operations
• Have the ability to learn how to operate equipment and instruments safely used in the product development laboratory
• Must be computer literate and capable in technical data accumulation and reporting
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Performs job duties with support from a senior staff, capable of learning how to apply the principles of science in formulating new or reformulating existing products
• Develops new and reformulate existing products using latest technologies/equipment
• Assists senior staff members with preparation/execution of pilot batches and product scale-up (evaluation) batches and gather data to support in-process parameters and finished product specification
• Assists with the creation of manufacturing batch records, deviations, change controls to support production demands
• Performs troubleshooting on various processes/products
• Works with scientists/technical operation staff to develop solutions to production issues
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state government agency laws
• Communicates effectively with other departments within the organization
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular attendance is required
