About The Position

Job Description: Our Research Scientists are our Inventors. We identify and target steps in disease mechanisms or pathways that could be inhibited or enhanced. Our goal is to isolate a compound that is effective against a disease target. Using innovative thinking, state-of-the-art facilities and robust scientific methodology we collaborate to discover the next medical breakthrough. The Pathology group within Nonclinical Drug Safety (NDS) and our Research & Development Division works with multiple departments to determine the toxicity profile for test compounds intended for human or animal health applications. Our group is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and attention to detail to contribute to well-defined studies and complex research projects. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform necropsies and record findings. Utilize histochemical procedures for the preparation of microscopic slides. Carry out assigned tasks and apply sound basic laboratory skills that include recording, evaluation, and assessment of data. Learn new software applications and record datasets digitally in information management systems. Follow well-established Standard Operating Procedures and Good Laboratory Practices. Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation. Comply with all local, state and federal laws for conducting in-vivo research. Communicate and interact with other team members.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Animal Science, Biology, or a related discipline
  • 1+ Year laboratory experience (Pharma/Biotech or Academia)
  • Experience with In-vivo research
