About The Position

As Associate Scientist -Molecular Immunology VIE within our Research & Development Laboratory team, you will help develop an end-to-end B cell analytics pipeline integrating wet-lab and computational workflows. The project involves peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) processing, B cell staining and sorting, high-throughput immunoglobulin repertoire sequencing (both 10x Genomics and plate-based approaches), bioinformatics analysis of antibody sequences, and downstream functional profiling using platforms such as Carterra. Join the team protecting half a billion lives every year with next-gen science, mRNA innovation, and AI-driven breakthroughs. In Vaccines, you’ll help advance prevention on a global scale - and shape the future of immunization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience (academic or industry).
  • Hands-on experience with RNA/DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid/ ribonucleic acid) extraction, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) library prep, or single-cell sequencing workflows (experience with 10x Genomics preferred).
  • Proficiency in PBMC sample processing, flow cytometry, cell sorting, and multicolor staining of immune cells.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for building novel immunological pipelines.
  • Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with antibody expression or characterization assays (ELISA, Octet, Carterra SPR).
  • Working in Bio Safety Lavel 2/2+ conditions would be a plus.
  • Prior experience in antibody discovery, or immune profiling projects would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PBMC isolation, B cell staining, and sorting (FACS) for repertoire analyses.
  • Conduct immunoglobulin sequencing using both 10x Genomics and plate-based methods.
  • Support library preparation, quality control, and sample tracking throughout the sequencing pipeline.
  • Support bioinformatics analyses to process and interpret antibody repertoire datasets.
  • Execute and analyze binding and epitope characterization assays using Carterra or comparable platforms.
  • Maintain accurate lab records, contribute to experimental design, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, project discussions, and data review sessions.
