What You Will Achieve Perform all functions to support assay development and analysis of pre-clinical and toxicological samples. Perform assays to support critical assay reagent testing, assay development/troubleshooting. Collect and analyze data on a per project basis to support assay development, troubleshooting, reagent evaluation and qualification and other lab projects. Document all aspects of assay work, maintaining accurate, clear, and complete records. Assist in ordering supplies from internal inventory and order/prepare reagents/supplies necessary for assay work. Assist in updating and writing documents associated with assays, includinginformation/data archiving, SOPs and status reports. Satisfactorily complete all GLP and safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements. Stay current on all departmental and corporate training. Maintain a detailed inventory of freezer reagents, including controls, proficiency panels, and reference standards. Present progress on assay development and sample analysis to colleagues and senior management. Provide critical data review of testing data. Build team skills and collaborate effectively within the work group. Organize work to meet deadlines and apply technical skills. Follow procedures for assigned tasks and seek guidance when necessary. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must Have Bachelor's in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or biochemistry with 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software
  • Experience with aseptic techniques
  • The incumbent will be trained on required Policies, Practices, and Procedures needed to support work responsibilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
