About The Position

Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries and in vitro human lymph node co-cultures for generating antigen-specific B-cells. We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our biology team. This role will be responsible for providing cell culture and assay execution support to the Cell Line Development Team as well as the Functional Assay Team.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience or a strong academic record.
• Hands-on experience with cell line development and maintenance.
• Experience with in vitro assay design is also required.
• Proficiency in aseptic cell culture techniques.
• Rigorous bench scientist with a record of designing and executing careful experiments, maintaining detailed experimental records, and developing robust, transferrable processes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain stable cell lines (e.g. HEK293, CHO) for functional assay applications.
• Perform low to medium throughput assay techniques, including but not limited to, use of Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) platforms, ELISA platforms, and various other microplate reader technology from Revvity or Agilent.
• Collaborate with internal teams as needed to develop and troubleshoot cell-based and biochemical assays to assess antibody functionality.
• Work closely with Automation team to implement liquid handling solutions for assay scalability and reproducibility.
• Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and experimental records in electronic lab notebook (ELN).
