About The Position

The focus is on developing your technical knowledge and skills to solve more complex problems. Performs technically diverse assignments to support the laboratory and testing to ensure the quality of raw and finished goods. Perform calibrations, and maintain calibration records. Be able to organize and prioritize samples to be tested. Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Performs peer to peer audits, and reviews others work.

Requirements

  • BS in a scientific area, preferably chemistry.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Or M.S. with 0-2 years experience
  • Knowledge of Math
  • Knowledge of chemistry and testing of natural products and ingredients
  • Knowledge of GMP and Good Lab Practices
  • Knowledge of Chemical hygiene and safety
  • Skilled in using laboratory equipment
  • Ability to use documentation systems
  • Ability to be flexible, as well as a good sense of timeliness
  • Ability to keep detailed and complete reports and communicate results
  • Ability to think Analytically
  • Ability to work as a team member

Responsibilities

  • Becomes familiar with all physical testing and instrumentation including but not limited to: FTIR, Ash, Bulk and Tap, Particle size, pH, viscometer, balances, specific gravity, taste and odor
  • If appropriate, uses laboratory equipment and instruments with minimal supervision
  • Lab cleaning and organization
  • Chemistry background a plus
