As an Associate Scientist at Pfizer, you will play a crucial role in generating high-quality immunoassay data within a regulated Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) environment to support vaccine programs. Your responsibilities will include assay development, technology transfer, and validation projects, all aimed at ensuring the efficacy and safety of vaccines. You will work collaboratively in a team setting, adhering to safety practices and regulatory requirements, while contributing to the advancement of Pfizer's mission to deliver breakthroughs that change patients' lives.

  • Generate high-quality immunoassay data in a regulated GLP setting to support vaccine programs.
  • Support assay development and technology transfer of new laboratory immunoassays.
  • Assist in updating and writing documents associated with bio-functional assays.
  • Perform biofunctional immunological assays to support vaccine clinical development in a high-throughput setting.
  • Conduct clinical assays in accordance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) requirements.
  • Collect and analyze data to support troubleshooting, qualification, validation, and other lab projects.
  • Present progress on assay development and sample analysis to colleagues and senior management.
  • Execute sample testing and analysis for toxicology and clinical trials.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of science.
  • Laboratory experience in a relevant field of biological science.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Good computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software.
  • Pharmaceutical and biotech drug discovery or vaccine development experience.
  • Knowledge of viruses, mammalian cells, bioassays, and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience working in a BSL-3 high containment laboratory.
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting bioassays designed to assess antibody functionality.
