The Cell Therapy Analytical Development group at BMS is seeking a motivated individual to perform routine functional characterization of CAR-T and gene edited cells used in cell therapy.

Requirements

  • 0-2 (MS) or 3+ years hands on experience with cellular analytical techniques.
  • Experience with experimental design and assay development.
  • Excellent aseptic technique and experience with mammalian and/or primary cell culture.
  • Experience with flow cytometry instrumentation, maintenance, and software (FlowJo).
  • Uses scientific principles and engineering fundamentals to solve problems.
  • Independently motivated with ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and coordinate activities within a team.
  • Desire and drive to learn and passion for their impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral presentation and technical writing.

Responsibilities

  • Routine analysis of cell product for quality attributes using flow cytometry and cell-based assays.
  • Design, plan, execute, and analyze lab experiments.
  • Manage inventory of samples and materials and ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain proper documentation of experimental results using an electronic lab notebook.
  • Summarize and present scientific data; report results to project teams.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with policies/procedures/regulations.
