About the position

As a Narmi Associate Sales Engineer, you are a cross-functional resource that bridges technical, sales, and banking industry expertise. You understand the technical intricacies of the Narmi One platform, how it interfaces with the many other systems that modern banks use, and the impact that it has on our customers’ business. You present and demo confidently, explain complex concepts clearly, and network consistently with other Narmi teams to be an invaluable component of our efforts to educate our customers on the value of Narmi. SEs are part of a tight-knit team that support each other to help us all to be our best. But being able to own sales engagements from end-to-end and work autonomously is also a key part of the SE role. You’ll have a lot of freedom as an SE to work the way that you want, and you’ll be evaluated on your ability to deliver engagements on time and to a high level of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in consultative conversations with financial institutions as they assess their own capabilities, needs, and ability to integrate with our platform
  • Draft and deliver presentations on technical topics
  • Prepare and present compelling, tailored demos of Narmi and partner software products
  • Be an expert in competitor and partner solutions
  • Draft creative and thorough responses to RFPs
  • Liaise with relevant teams cross Narmi (product, implementation, platform success, and customer success teams) on behalf of the sales team to develop solutions and strategies to grow revenue
  • Contribute to Narmi’s market presence by authoring whitepapers, attending or speaking at industry conferences, and hosting educational sessions for partners and/or consultants

Requirements

  • Located in US Eastern time zone in a major city
  • 1+ years in customer facing roles (sales, consulting, professional services, etc) at B2B SaaS companies
  • Excellent communicator, with strong in-room presence and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Track record of owning projects and working autonomously to achieve objectives
  • Strong team player
  • Willingness to travel (US domestic) up to 40% (avg is more like 15-20%)
  • Mastery of basic modern web technologies (HTML, XML, JSON, REST web services)
  • Proficiency in Typescript or Javascript, and Python

Nice-to-haves

  • Based in New York City area
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Enterprise B2B sales/presales experience
  • Have hands-on experience with enterprise applications that require deep configuration
  • Prior experience working in or closely with financial institutions (preferably banks or credit unions)
  • Prior experience in a Sales Engineering / Solution Engineering role
  • Prior experience working in or with US Banks and/or Credit Unions, particularly in the $200M-25B asset range
  • Prior FinTech experience
  • Experience with technologies in Narmi’s tech stack (AWS, Node.js, React/React Native, Kubernetes, Python)
  • Prior experience with Narmi and/or other digital experience platforms for banks (Lumin, Kony, Alkami, Backbase, Q2, Banno, MANTL, NCR, etc)
