About The Position

The Associate Sales Engineer provides administrative and operational assistance to the engineering sales team. Ensuring the success of various manufacturing phases within a project and capturing necessary information for continuous improvement. This role focuses on being a vital point of contact for communicating information between production and engineering, maintaining project folder cleanliness and document management, and supporting the proposal and submittal processes.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in progress in Engineering or STEM related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing or construction
• Strong technical background and analytical ability
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to learn enclosure manufacturing, sales processes, and customer industries

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sales Engineers in planning, organizing, and executing projects
• Serve as a key point of contact for the production team to relay crucial information back to the engineering department
• Review project drawings to verify completeness, accuracy, and inclusion of all required information
• Assist in preparing proposals and submittal packages under guidance from sales engineers
• Obtain lessons learned from each supporting party to support continuous improvement efforts
• Assist with reviewing job files for completeness, including BOMs, drawings, and vendor specs
• Assist engineers in implementing design changes or upgrades on the production floor
• Collect and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies or defects
