As a Workplace Safety Consultant, you will be a vital part of our team, working directly with Texas businesses to identify and mitigate potential risks. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating safer work environments, reducing accidents, and protecting our customer’s bottom line. You will manage a territory of diverse Texas businesses, which allows you to be creative in scheduling your day-to-day work. Your territory will require daily travel in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area to conduct on-site safety visits, develop customized safety plans, and provide training and education to employees. Your ability to build strong relationships with customers and effectively communicate, including writing comprehensive reports, is essential. A company vehicle is provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Zero to two years of related work experience or equivalent education, training, or experience for an Associate; two to four years of related work experience or equivalent education, training, or experience for a Consultant.
  • In-state travel to mainly the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area on a regular basis.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.

  • OSHA specific coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer accounts to identify and implement safety and customer service interventions.
  • Manage an assigned book of business, direct loss prevention services at injury prevention and overall risk improvement.
  • Analyze loss data and assist the policyholder in identifying the cause of employee injuries, including the development of effective plans of action to address the loss causes.
  • Inspect policyholder sites to identify and evaluate risk factors and to develop recommendations to effectively control them.
  • Prepare reports for underwriting purposes containing an accurate description of operations, evaluation of exposures and controls, analysis of loss data, and an evaluation of the effectiveness of policyholder safety and training programs.
  • Establish and maintain consultative relationships with policyholders, underwriting staff, and agents.
