About The Position

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking to add an Associate Safety Professional position to our growing Indianapolis team. This individual must possess a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a construction safety professional. This position will require visiting job sites in the Greater Indianapolis area several times per week.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including moderate skills in software such as Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Programs
  • Ability to learn and complete continuing education programs (paid for by company) through inter-company training, seminars, third-party educational programs, and through select university resource training as directed by the Safety Director
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • General knowledge in compliance standards and interpretations for Industrial Construction
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines (efficient time management skills are needed)
  • Travel is required throughout Indiana on a weekly basis, and travel to regional office/jobsites at least once per month – travel and accommodations paid for by Dubak Electrical Group
  • Individual must have a valid Driver's License and a clean MVR
  • OSHA 30 for Construction is required

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 500 certification is preferred, but can also be provided at company expense.
  • Completion of an Occupational Health and Safety degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Safety Director to audit safety performance of personnel in an Industrial Construction setting
  • Partner well with both internal and external business partners
  • Maintain safety records regarding employee safety training, regulatory compliance data, incident reporting, drug/alcohol testing, and safety pre-qualification/re-qualification processes
  • Basic experience in and general knowledge of the Electrical/Mechanical construction safety planning process, hazard identification/mitigation, and incident investigation processes
  • Understand safety training and ability to confirm comprehension of safety training of each employee under the direction of Safety Director
  • Conduct weekly on-site safety audits and observations, document audits, and communicate with field supervisors regarding the results of safety audits and observations.
  • Be a self-starter and take initiative when you see that matters need to be addressed
