About The Position

As a Cetera Associate TPA Consultant, you will partner with our territory-based TPA Sales Consultants to assist with the sale of TPA services to Cetera advisors and their clients. This role will focus on the preparation of pension plan proposals, assisting with implementation of our programs and services, and supporting the TPA Consultant’s sales efforts. This is a hybrid role, candidates must be located in an office hub: Dallas, TX or Des Moines, IA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years with a focus in the retirement plan industry (401k, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office (required), Salesforce.com (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, customer focused attitude and demeanor with a desire to provide outstanding service.
  • Work well in groups and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Cetera is a fast-growing dynamic organization. Individuals will need to be able to multi-task and adjust quickly to the changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Designations or qualifications preferred QKA, Q(k)S or other retirement industry specific designations
  • Ideal candidate would have TPA experience

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine 401(k), Cash Balance, DB plans and other plan types proposals for potential clients using PlanGen software tool
  • Serve as a liaison between the TPA Consultants and the TPA Onboarding and Service Teams calling out to financial advisors to resolve operational or service issues
  • Assist with sales presentations that highlight the TPA features and benefits
  • Educate advisors around the benefits and requirements of leveraging the Cetera TPA retirement plan design and administration services
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from our advisors related to TPA services
  • Work alongside the TPA Consultants in outbound efforts for various campaigns
  • Actively participate in industry seminars to remain current with retirement plan industry trends and provide insights to advisors
  • Productively work together and collaborate with other home office departments
