About The Position

The Retail Leasing Associate will support the retail leasing team in all leasing and marketing activities for Related's retail portfolio in New York City. This role will be based on-site at Related's headquarters in Hudson Yards. We'll trust you to: Leasing & Negotiation: Negotiate lease terms and deal structures for new and renewing. Prepare proposals, letters of intent, and responses to requests for. Read, analyze, and negotiate lease and sublease documents, commission agreements, and other contracts in collaboration with legal teams. Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research and maintain a deep understanding of retail trends, competitive landscapes, and tenant activity. Track market absorption, leasing comps, and relevant industry news, preparing reports with key insights. Provide financial modeling and analysis for transactions, including brokerage. Marketing & Tenant Engagement: Collaborate with creative teams to develop marketing materials, events, and leasing. Coordinate with external partners such as architects, graphic designers, and. Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and industry. Proactively identify and engage with potential retail tenants, including prospecting, cold calling and networking, qualifying leads, and coordinating initial meetings. Portfolio & Project Management: Implement leasing and marketing programs, overseeing exclusive brokers on various. Monitor leasing activity, maintain leasing reports, and update merchandising. Assist in preparing lease abstracts and due diligence for. Participate in weekly meetings with Leasing, Construction, and Property Management teams to ensure smooth coordination.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant retail leasing and marketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of retailers and the apparel industry.
  • Expertise in financial modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong project management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a keen understanding of value creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different organizational levels.
  • High integrity, entrepreneurial mindset, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Undergraduate degree required; a Real Estate Salesperson License is preferred.
