About The Position

Our laboratory specializes in basic and preclinical research in cancer epigenetics and is seeking a full‑time Research Assistant to support ongoing scientific projects. We are looking for a motivated, experienced, and highly organized individual who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team. Responsibilities Contribute to research projects in the lab by performing molecular and cell biology assays and in vivo mouse experiments (~60% of workload), with the possibility to publish in high impact journals if successful. Maintain and manage the laboratory’s mouse colony, including husbandry, breeding and genotyping. Oversee inventory of reagents and supplies, place and track orders. Prepare common reagent and cell line stocks. Support sample management and accurate record keeping. Maintain laboratory organization, documentation, and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in science or related field required
  • No experience required.
  • One year of research experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor?s degree in biology or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant molecular/cell biology and mouse handling experience, or Master?s degree in biology or a related field with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in mammalian tissue culture, standard molecular biology techniques such as PCR, electrophoresis and immunoblotting, and mouse handling
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities
  • Familiarity with approaches to manipulate genes of interest in mammalian cells
  • Hands?on experience with gene expression analysis methods and/or chromatin?based assays
  • Working knowledge of next?generation sequencing technologies
