About The Position

The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in science or related field required
• 1 - 2 years of research/laboratory experience
• Previous experience with behavioral and neuroscience approaches to rodent biology

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral assays in mice
• Analyze brain activity
• Conduct histological analyses
• Perform confocal imaging of brain samples
• Monitor mouse colonies
• Analyze and assist in interpreting moderately complex results
• Maintain laboratory environment and assist in the upkeep of appropriate inventory; may include ordering of supplies
• Assist in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques
• Assist in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation
• Perform other related duties
