About The Position

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to promote positive associate relations and business partnerships with store management. The role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, practices, legal requirements, and ethical procedures. The manager will develop and maintain a solid business partnership with Store and Department Managers to ensure effective communication between Store Management and associates, supporting Hannaford's culture through role modeling and coaching key management on performance management, change management, and maintaining a positive associate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promote positive associate relations and business partnerships with store management.
  • Ensure store compliance with company policies, practices, legal requirements, and ethical procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a solid business partnership with Store and Department Managers.
  • Support Hannaford's culture through role modeling and coaching.
  • Lead and develop associates.
  • Post open positions and actively recruit to fill them.
  • Assist with hiring decisions for key and salaried roles.
  • Coach department managers on staffing needs and communication.
  • Oversee the 1st 100 day process.
  • Partner with Store Manager in managing the Talent Growth Management Process.
  • Conduct New Supervisor and Pharmacist orientations.
  • Field AR concerns and elevate to AR Specialist when appropriate.
  • Review written counseling sessions and terminations for fairness and consistency.
  • Conduct listening sessions in each department once per year.
  • Ensure payroll functions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support disability and workers compensation open cases.
