About The Position

In the Office of the Registrar, the primary responsibility of the Associate Registrar, Student Success Data Compliance Management position is to provide leadership and guidance in the strategic planning, implementation, coordination, and operation of Data quality management and coordination for student records and student record adjacent functions. Heavy emphasis on audited functions such as Lawful Presence, SAVE verification, Residency and waiver coding. However, overall records alignment and clarity will be long term necessities and goals - such as improved documentation and review of curriculum management, and all other student record retention data elements. This includes compliance, oversight of program management, proactive reporting, data quality assurance, file tracking for program change, establishment of goals and objectives for the quarterly and annual data review based on university wide strategic vision provided by AVP & University Registrar or the highest echelon of Student Success leadership. Aid in developing policies and procedures, interpreting rules and regulations, establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress, and coordinating with internal departments and outside partner organizations in support of the program at the University student success level as well as outside of the University with organizations such as the USG or SACSCOC. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relate field and five years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains a vision for an inclusive college data quality process for student data stewardship in partnership and collaboration with Office of the Registrar and Student Success.
  • Collaborates with faculty and staff from all departments across the university to plan, organize, and direct activities and programs related to data quality and compliance to support clean and accurate reporting and efficiency.
  • Prepares and presents accurate and concise reports and effectively communicates with employees and customers at all levels, including formal presentations with a variety of individuals, groups, and stakeholders
  • Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives, and implements effective solutions
  • Partners with external and community-based organizations with respect to improvement of data quality and tools for effective management of this as a function for students, faculty and staff.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to provide a more seamless process for all functions related to compliance and records management and retention for data accuracy
  • Develops, implements, and supports training efforts for staff within the student success division with respect to monitoring, tracking, and coding of students.
  • Develop, implement and maintain fundamental proactive reporting tools that assist in the clean-up of records issues associated with residency, lawful presence, waiver management and other student long term record management.
  • Manage cross functional teams and projects associated with data clarity that involve college personnel and different logistical divisions across all units at the university - from student success through each academic processing unit.
