The Associate Registrar of Curriculum Management at Sarah Lawrence College plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the institution's curriculum data and external reporting. This position is responsible for overseeing the external reporting schedule and coordinating data across various offices to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies. The Associate Registrar will prepare reports for submission to several regulatory entities, including the New York Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC/TAP), the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), the New York State Education Department (NYSED), and Title II for Teacher Education Preparation. This involves meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of institutional research practices. In the realm of curriculum management, the Associate Registrar will direct the curriculum collection process, which includes managing course catalog submissions and data entry. They will prepare detailed reports for the Curriculum Committee to establish the upcoming academic year's curriculum and maintain various reports that track teaching loads per department and compare courses across years. Additionally, the Associate Registrar will manage the AirTable system to produce the academic catalog, which encompasses course offering reviews, tracking of submissions, faculty website biographies, assigning course numbers, and publication processes. General responsibilities include supporting the operations of the Registrar's Office by handling phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting students and faculty in person. The Associate Registrar will also serve as a backup for processes such as official transcript requests, add/drop data entry, and transfer entry, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
