About The Position

Lassens Family Natural Markets is a family-owned natural foods chain with more than 50 years of history serving our communities. We are passionate about 100% organic produce, healthy living, and providing our guests with “The Best of Everything Good.” We are seeking an Associate Regional Produce Manager to join our leadership team and work directly with our long-tenured Regional Produce Manager, who is preparing for retirement. This is a succession-track role—designed for a motivated leader and up and coming leader who will learn the business inside and out and ultimately take over full responsibility for produce leadership across the chain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of produce or natural foods management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of organic produce, seasonal trends, and natural foods retail.
• Experience leading teams, coaching, and developing people.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to travel (including overnight stays) for store visits, audits, training, and industry events.
• A passion for local farmers, healthy living, and Lassen’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Purchase 100% organic produce for all store locations, securing top quality and competitive pricing.
• Build strong partnerships with farmers, distributors, and vendors to showcase seasonal and local offerings.
• Set retail pricing and partner with Marketing to highlight top-tier items in ads, promotions, and social media.
• Visit stores regularly to audit produce departments, train team members, and ensure freshness and presentation standards.
• Oversee drivers, fleet operations, and logistics to ensure efficient, timely deliveries across stores.
• Develop new systems and innovations to improve profitability, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Play a key role in opening new stores, department resets, and special projects.
