About The Position

The Associate Regional Director for Specialized Services is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory guidelines, monitoring program services, and developing proactive action plans. Key duties include coordinating budget management, providing staff support and feedback, developing work schedules, and reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance. The role also involves supervising and participating in child assessments, crisis interventions, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. This position requires fluency in English and Spanish, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least four years of progressive supervisory experience. The individual will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and must adhere to company safety protocols and immunization policies.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish.
Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university, preferably in one of the following areas: social work; psychology, criminal justice, sociology, behavioral health, behavioral analysis, or related field of study.
First Aid Certification.
CPR Certification.
Emergency Behavior Intervention Certification.
Four (4) years of related experience and/or training, including progressive supervision.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and professionals.
Demonstrate the ability to provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
Receive an annual Influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption as a medical or religious accommodation.

Responsibilities

Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
Monitor the program through frequent observation and evaluation of program services; buildings, grounds, and equipment; staff; children, and vehicles.
Develop proactive plans of action for every area of service assigned by the Program Director or Associate Executive Director/Director.
Coordinate and facilitate budget management by acting as a liaison between departments and the Program Director and/or the Associate Executive Director/Director.
Provide timely feedback and support to personnel.
Develop and maintain personnel work schedules to ensure proper coverage and ratios.
Review all staff documentation to ensure it is accurate, complete, and timely.
Review staff personnel records to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory training requirements.
Consult, provide feedback, review performance, motivate, direct, and redirect subordinates.
Adapt schedules to the needs of the program based on changing workloads and needs.
Organize and manage time and resources to ensure timely completion of all assignment deadlines.
Supervise, facilitate, and participate in child assessments and admission processes as needed.
Respond to outside requests for persons authorized to receive information regarding children.
Provide and/or supervise crisis interventions involving children and/or families as needed.
Monitor facility video to ensure compliance with action plans, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in scheduled meetings and in team decisions and operations.
Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed or requested by the position supervisor.
Implement Compass Connections System safety protocols, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
Maintain Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections System employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with the required dress code at all times.
Facilitate and/or supervise programming, treatment, and discharge of children’s placement and release as assigned.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures, contracts, and regulatory requirements and standards.
Frequently transverse from one area of the facility to another, including interior and exterior areas.
Regularly observe and evaluate buildings, grounds, equipment, staff, children, vehicles, and other program resources and address issues and problems as needed.
Meet predetermined deadlines and reporting requirements for the position.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
Adhere to instructions provided by professional staff regarding each child and inform the Program Director of the information affecting the basic health and well-being of the service population.
Participates in the analysis and provision of behavioral health services related to skill acquisition development and the reduction of peer-to-peer aggression, restraints, and traumatic stress in the home environment.
