About The Position

The Associate Recruiting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team and is responsible for the recruiting and hiring of top talent for all associate-level positions at Latham & Watkins, while supporting all phases of recruiting efforts, focusing on the summer program, campus outreach, and entry-level hiring, including coordinating candidate interviews and correspondence, performing GPA calculations, and maintaining candidate records. This role will be located in our Los Angeles office located in Century City. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and work well in a team, with a customer-service focus
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion, possess strong analytical skills with minimal supervision, and attention to detail for quality assurance
  • Possess organizational skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines, as well as a proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, and interview platforms
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional services

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with target law schools, career services, student organizations, vendors, and other recruitment professionals; serving as the firm's liaison while assisting in executing and representing the firm at recruiting and external functions
  • Planning and executing logistics for the summer program and entry-level hiring, including orientation, programming, events, and offer letters
  • Developing and monitoring budgets and expenses for outreach and recruiting efforts, and collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies
  • Providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee; assisting in managing long-term hiring goals, preparing recruitment statistics and reports, and developing presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
