About The Position

Colliers | Wisconsin is growing, and we are excited to welcome a Associate Real Estate Advisor who wants to learn the business, build strong relationships, and grow something long term. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career, a residential agent curious about transitioning into commercial real estate, or a recent graduate who is motivated, thoughtful, and ready to put in the work. In this unique position you will work directly with our experienced advisors, receive dedicated mentorship, and gain hands-on exposure across leasing, sales, and client advisory work. This structure gives you ongoing opportunities to refine your skills and deepen your commercial real estate knowledge as you contribute to our market expansion in Wausau and North Central Wisconsin. This is a 1099, commission-based position designed for someone who wants to learn by doing and grow into a long-term career.

Requirements

  • Someone early in their career who is eager to learn and willing to put in the effort
  • Individuals with 1 to 3 years of experience in real estate, sales, brokerage, or another client-facing role
  • Residential agents interested in moving into commercial real estate
  • Recent or upcoming graduates with strong curiosity, motivation, and follow-through
  • Self-starters who enjoy talking with people and building relationships
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Willing to obtain a Wisconsin real estate license if not already licensed
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable presence
  • Comfort with networking, prospecting, and asking thoughtful questions
  • A positive attitude and openness to feedback and coaching
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career in commercial real estate
  • Basic comfort with technology such as CRM systems, email, and Microsoft Office or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Learn the commercial real estate business by working side by side with seasoned advisors
  • Help identify and pursue new business through networking, outreach, and relationship building
  • Support leasing and sales transactions with property research and basic market analysis
  • Assist with marketing materials, proposals, and client presentations
  • Participate in client meetings, property tours, and local business events
  • Build relationships with property owners, tenants, investors, and local professionals
  • Track prospects, activity, and deals using CRM and internal tools
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Wausau and North Central Wisconsin commercial real estate market
  • Collaborate with team members and other service lines as opportunities arise
