Location: Argo, IL (Bedford Park) Workplace type: Onsite Work Schedule: 2nd shift, rotating on weekends As an Associate QC Analyst , you will develop quality standards for the organization’s raw materials, in-process products, and finished products and design new, complex, or innovative measures, tests, sampling methods, and other procedures that ensure that these standards are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or related sciences
  • Possess knowledge of laboratory practices
  • Cover shifts as needed. Must be available for weekends, holidays and after-hours coverage
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • High level of integrity and sincerity
  • Proactive and innovative with a strong will to succeed
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate growing competency in organizational skills, task prioritization, written, verbal and computer skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment
  • Follow all safety guidelines and quality systems established by Ingredion
  • Perform methods from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), American Chemical Society (ACS), Food Chemical Codex (FCC), CMMEF and other validated procedures independently
  • Perform a variety of tasks and procedures in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain complete, accurate and legible test records, in accordance with Company policy and ISO requirements
  • Prioritize testing based on business needs and ensure testing is performed in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Collect samples for in process and/or finished products testing needs
  • Disposition product against established specifications
  • Assist in routine maintenance of equipment using established procedures
  • Perform other work as assigned with minimal supervision
  • Learn new skills and assist in the training of others
  • Assist in completing investigations as assigned for OOSs, customer complaints, process upsets
  • Follow 5S principles and guidelines
