As a VA CAP, you'll have the chance to rotate between Underwriting, Risk Consulting, Product and Claims to develop knowledge of risk management strategies for high value collections, use advanced tools to learn about Chubb's risk appetite, learn how our product and Valuable Articles portfolio are managed, and how claims are adjusted. The Valuable Articles CAP will rotate between the following teams: Underwriting Participate in CAP Underwriting program, including in-depth contract review and technical training Rotate between Select and Digital Underwriting teams Meet regularly with Fine Art & Valuable Collections underwriters to develop expertise in specialty risks, developing customized programs, and overall portfolio management Participate in Fine Art Community and Jewelry Community webinars to learn about underwriting strategy, competitive differentiators and loss trends Develop knowledge of risk exposures throughout the collection lifecycle, including complex case study examples and valuation examples Develop knowledge of how market trends can impact the portfolio, and how to manage those risks Risk Consulting Work directly with our team of Fine Art & Collections Specialists to learn how to identify, manage and service accounts with high-value private collections Shadow on-site Collection Risk Assessments and learn how to evaluate security controls, fire protection, environmental exposures, inventory management, and display conditions for collections Conduct art and jewelry market research and analysis, and review collection values to determine the need for appraisals Network with independent experts and resources, such as vetted fine art appraisers, conservators, warehouses, shippers, and advisors Attend internal training sessions for the risk consulting team as well as art and jewelry educational courses for broker and agency partners Claims Shadow adjusters on the VAC Claims team to understand the end-to-end process of adjusting standalone fine art, jewelry and collectibles losses, identification of available coverages, recovery potential, and fraudulent claim indicators Shadow the Salvage manager to understand the process of salvaging art, jewelry and collectibles as well as managing vendor relationships and workflows Monitor loss trends, provide general assistance and support to claims adjusters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise Participate in relevant claims training Product Work with the Valuables LOB team to develop knowledge of Chubb's product, portfolio management, and competitive forms Support projects to drive profitability, growth, and portfolio management Learn how to monitor results patterns and loss trends for the traditional and digital portfolio Evaluate competitive advantages/disadvantages of our product, and make recommendations to position our product against the market Build relationships with art and jewelry centers of influence and new business referral sources
