About The Position

The Associate Project Scheduler at AES Corporation is an entry-level role focused on developing and maintaining project schedules within the Clean Energy division. This position plays a crucial role in summarizing and monitoring project schedules, explaining variances, and preparing reports to assist project managers and developers in understanding project outlooks. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that project timelines are met and resources are effectively utilized.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of scheduling experience or experience in solar project development and/or construction.
  • Ability to apply scheduling techniques using software and perform scheduling analysis.
  • Strong customer support skills and well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • General knowledge of commercial scheduling software like Primavera P6 and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the oil and gas, utility, or renewable energy industries.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews project schedule data including records of activities, open/close dates, and WBS structure.
  • Evaluates work packages for feasibility of implementation.
  • Makes recommendations for alternative methods to achieve customer results efficiently.
  • Communicates status of work and corrective actions with internal and external customers.
  • Works closely with project developers and managers to ensure schedule information is communicated effectively.
  • Supervises development of project status reports, including critical path analysis.
  • Develops and maintains project baselines.
  • Analyzes project requirements to ensure resource availability for maintaining schedules.
  • Coordinates with customers to obtain data on project activities.
  • Modifies schedules as necessary for efficient planning and reporting.
  • Prepares standard scheduling reports to reflect accurate status and corrective actions.
  • Coordinates projects with all participants to ensure plans are achievable and current.
  • Acts as a delegate for the Regional Scheduling Manager when necessary.
  • Develops schedule analysis and documentation for EPC contract adherence.
  • Implements and supports the development of scheduling standards and procedures.
