As part of the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor team, you will report to Technical Project Manager. You will support the Technical Project Manager in coordinating and implementing complex AI research projects in mental health at the Child Mind Institute. This role focuses on managing day-to-day project activities, facilitating communication across teams, and ensuring project milestones are met on time. You'll help coordinate workflows between approximately 10 data scientists and software engineers, maintain project documentation, track progress, and support team member communications. Strong organizational skills, ability to work with technical teams, and project management fundamentals are essential - technical depth can be developed on the job. This is an exempt, full-time, hybrid position located in our NYC headquarters office or other relevant location. This position requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office, on a schedule determined by your supervisor. The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management roles, including demonstrated experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Notion, Jira, Asana, Kanban, Agile)
  • 2+ years of experience working with teams in technology, research, or software development environments
  • 3+ years of organizational experience, including managing multiple tasks and deadlines, facilitating meetings, and communicating action items effectively
  • 2+ years of experience tracking project progress, identifying risks, escalating issues appropriately, and working collaboratively with technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technical Project Manager in building project plans, timelines, schedules, and tracking deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings, communications, and workflow between teams including data scientists, software developers, and clinical researchers
  • Monitor project progress, maintaining clear documentation and status reports using project management tools
  • Identify potential project risks, bottlenecks, and scheduling conflicts, escalating issues to the Technical Project Manager promptly
  • Facilitate team meetings, prepare agendas, document action items and decisions.
  • Support resource allocation planning and timeline management across multiple project phases
  • Maintain organized project documentation including meeting notes, project plans, and team member communications
  • Help with quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements
  • Contribute to stakeholder updates, presentations, and project reporting
  • Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned
