About the position

The Associate Project Engineer at FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. is responsible for leading and participating in the asset creation process from the early stages through to project closure. This role involves managing various project types, including infrastructure expansions and compliance initiatives, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams and disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive project progress while maintaining close communication with various teams including Business Managers, Engineering, IT, EH&S, and Operations.
  • Lead project meetings and reviews for team coordination and scope development.
  • Manage documentation for the asset creation process, including project scopes, hazard review reports, and commissioning plans.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manage site capital processes and budget, including KPI tracking and project status reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contract partners for project locations.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 9+ years of experience in the chemical process, semiconductor, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong skillset in understanding and creating P&IDs and isometrics.
  • Experience in developing process parameters including mass flow and heat transfer.
  • Ability to manage PSM processes, including management of change and safety reviews.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and math skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience interfacing with mechanical, structural, controls, and electrical engineers.
  • General understanding of API, ANSI, and NFPA standards.
