About The Position

As an Associate Project Engineer, you will contribute to the successful execution of AV integration projects by supporting your senior engineers and project managers. This entry-level role focuses on learning and development while assisting with post-award activities, such as creating or reviewing bill of materials, drawings, infrastructure requirements, network coordination, and preparing installation and commissioning documentation . Additionally, you will perform system testing and troubleshooting under supervision. You will work closely with the project team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, flexible individual eager to build technical skills and gain hands-on experience in the AV field. Supervision from more-senior engineers and mentorship opportunities will guide your professional growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal education in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • AV integration experience, especially field installation or service, is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AVIXA (CTS certification) or networking concepts.
  • Experience with DSP or control system programming tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a technical support or field-related role is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with basic design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu) and willingness to learn more advanced tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Documentation Support Assist in reviewing preliminary project design documents, such as Scope of Work (SOW) and contracts, to validate completeness and feasibility.
  • Serve as a go-to peer review resource for engineers by ensuring accuracy and clarity in drawings and change orders.
  • Help create and update engineering project documents, including infrastructure drawings, equipment placement diagrams, and riser diagrams, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Generate cable pull sheets and assist with calculations, such as heat and power requirements.
  • Project and Change Order Assistance Assist fellow engineers with large change order work by preparing and updating necessary design and documentation.
  • Help assemble technical closeout documentation, including "as-built" drawings and programming files.
  • Field Support and Flexibility Act as a backup to support the primary Project Engineer on large projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the commissioning and programming team to create deployment and commissioning guides.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to support the installation team and gain hands-on field experience.
  • Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.
