About The Position

The Associate Professor/Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Winston-Salem State University is a tenure-track position aimed at fostering innovation and leadership in rehabilitation counseling education. Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional organizations.
  • Recognized as a scholar and educator in the rehabilitation counseling field.
  • Experience with program or learning outcomes assessment.
  • A record of service to higher education and the profession.
  • Expertise in two or more areas: State-Federal Vocational Rehabilitation systems, private rehabilitation, rehabilitation administration, school-to-work transition, deafness, or clinical mental health.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor to students.
  • Conduct scholarly research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Facilitate presentations at professional conferences.
  • Engage in the procurement of extramural funds with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in departmental, School of Health Science, and university service.
  • Contribute to the professional discipline and the local community.
