About The Position
The College of Business Administration (CBA) DeVos Sport Business Management program at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is pleased to invite applications for a 9-month, tenured associate professor or professor to begin in August 2025 in the DeVos Sport Business Management Program. The selected candidate can be appointed with tenure in the departments of Management, Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Finance or Integrated Business. The normal teaching load is two classes each fall and spring semester. The teaching assignment will be one course each in the program's Sport Business Management master's degree program and undergraduate minor with the other two courses in one of the other business school disciplines. Responsibilities also include university and professional service outcomes sufficient to maintain AACSB academic qualifications for teaching and research at a doctoral-granting university. The DeVos program courses place a heavy emphasis on student engagement, experiential learning, and oral communication (presentation). The DeVos Sport Business Management program at the University of Central Florida offers a globally ranked Sport Business Management master's degree program which is awarded along with an MBA to qualified students. The program is funded through an endowment provided by the Richard & Helen DeVos Foundation. It is the largest donation ever given to a sports business/management-related program. The program has a heavy emphasis on a team-based integrative business approach, real-world experience, community outreach, and a global sports network.
