The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Professor or Professor/Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs (Tenured or Tenure Track) within the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities of an academic faculty appointment are to (1) teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise; (2) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (3) use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning; (4) provide student supervision; (5) participate in school, university, professional and community service activities; and, for tenure/tenure-track (6) engage in research leading to publications in quality, refereed journals; and (7) seek internal and external grant funds. Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year-round, using a trimester sequence. Primary responsibilities as the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs: The Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs (ADFA) provides strategic leadership for faculty recruitment, development, support, and evaluation within the UNLV School of Nursing (SON). Reporting directly to the Dean, the ADFA plays a central role in cultivating a thriving academic community that advances the School’s mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to excellence. This position fosters faculty success across all career stages, ensures equitable workload distribution, and strengthens the culture of mentorship, collaboration, and innovation.
