Independence Community College (ICC) is seeking applications for the tenure-track position as Associate Professor of History. Independence Community College, a small, rural, residential community college in southeast Kansas, serves approximately 1,000 full- and part-time students each year. Independence Community College is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Associate Professor of History role plays a critical part in delivering a well-rounded liberal arts education by teaching undergraduate courses in history. Instruction supports the College's general education curriculum and the Associate of Arts degree pathways. The position includes responsibilities such as course development and assessment, and active collaboration with colleagues within the Math and Science Division. The Associate Professor of History position is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position requiring flexible hours, including day, evening and weekends. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with the ICC Faculty Negotiated Agreement. All employees at ICC are expected to perform all duties in a manner consistent with the mission objectives and strategies of the College. This position reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs as part of the Social Sciences Division. This position is scheduled to start August 2025.
