About The Position

The Associate Professor and Program Director (with tenure) position will start in Fall 2026. Candidates with expertise in all areas of school or child clinical psychology will be considered. Applicants with a strong track record of research productivity, teaching at the doctoral level, and clinical training experience are sought. A history of external funding is preferred but not required. Prior experience as a program director or director of clinical training is strongly preferred. Salary is competitive/ 9 months. Responsibilities also include overseeing the school-clinical child program for a minimum of three years, with the option to renew The role involves extensive administrative oversight—scheduling courses, managing budgets, supervising teaching assistants, coordinating with university offices, and leading faculty meetings The Director ensures compliance with national and state regulations, liaises with accrediting bodies such as the APA, and prepares accreditation reports and self-studies They also manage faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development, as well as student admissions, progress, evaluations, and grievances Additional duties include maintaining alumni relations, external training partnerships, public relations, and serving on the Academic Leadership Team with the Dean and Provost to align program and institutional goals Yeshiva University is dedicated to academic excellence, intellectual exploration, and the advancement of timeless values that shape and impact lives. Requirements

  • The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in school or clinical psychology
  • Licensed or license-eligible in New York State as a clinical psychologist, if applicable
  • Applicants must have a strong track record of research productivity, teaching at the doctoral level, and clinical training experience
