Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Associate, Professional Supply Managment. Job Summary This position is responsible for supporting product development by executing purchasing activity, developing and implementing commodity strategies, or managing supply chain. This position is responsible for negotiation, contract management, and change management while measuring quality, cost, and delivery performance of all suppliers. Will work as an interface between the supply management process and various process areas within manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years of related experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Product Development and understanding of functions such as Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain.
  • Willingness and skills to work effectively within a group and/or team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of Supply Management gained through education or past experience.
  • Utilizes Supply Management concepts and techniques to achieve/execute/support Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain, or Supply Base.
  • Uses existing Supply Management procedures and practices to solve standard problems, analyze information, achieve objectives, meet deadlines, and make decisions with guidance and direction from more senior-level roles.
  • Proactively supports the Supply Management group by being accountable for their contributions in meeting the objectives.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders such as Product Development or Manufacturing through the exchange of information, asking questions, and checking for understanding.
