About The Position

As an Associate for Professional Service Operations, you will be focused on providing full operations and P&L support to our global Services team throughout Databricks Services (Professional Services (PS) and Education) business. The focus will be on revenue-driving and forecasting activities across billable projects which includes closing monthly and quarterly accounting, establishing revenue rules, accurate forecasting and reporting, resource assignments, and revenue recognition. You will develop/deploy scalable processes and system logic in collaboration with our Services, Operations, and Finance to support the business. As the connective tissue across the Professional Services organization, you will surface important insights to enhance the customer journey and customer experience. You will report to the Global Operations Manager, Professional Services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience with P&L activities, strong data analytics mindset, using analytical frameworks, data, and tools to help structure team thinking, facilitate understanding across multiple senior partners, and reach applicable answers to challenging and ambiguous problems
  • Strong Salesforce and FinancialForce (Certinia) experience
  • Ability to work with various complementary business process systems
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced and complex environments and act as a trusted thought leader to senior executives
  • Experience using business systems such as CRM, billing and revenue systems, PS Automation, Order Management and Accounting
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce PSA projects, working with timecards, billing events, approval requests, assignments, etc.
  • Experience invoicing and billing both customers and partners
  • Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems
  • Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers
  • Rigor and attention to detail to drive a business cadence and drive execution
  • Passion for working highly collaboratively across GTM functions
  • A fondness for customer service in a very fast-paced growth business
  • Background in using AI to improve existing business processes

Responsibilities

  • You will drive recurring PS P&L activities to ensure forecasted vs actual metrics are in line.
  • You will develop an understanding of the metrics that inform Professional Services and manage the business intelligence layer with the goal of driving insights to actions
  • You will ensure data quality across multiple systems of record and flag areas of continuous improvement
  • You will address questions by the Professional Services leadership team with follow-up insights and recommended actions
  • You will be a thought leader for high-impact projects across Professional Services
  • You will drive process changes related to operations and Professional Services business initiatives
