Tasked with thorough inspection and breakdown of cooked meats, our team ensures each cut is skillfully packaged for widespread distribution. We are responsible for the careful hand-packing of cooked meats into designated containers, ready for customer delivery. Our duties extend to the setup and continuous monitoring of all packaging equipment, including carton formers, bulk scales, metal detectors, and date code printers within the packaging zones.

  • Promotes a culture of safety and efficiency by adhering to plant safety and work rules.
  • Complies with all safety, GMP, HACCP, plant policy and other associate and food safety requirements.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment throughout the plant according to GMP and Safety Guidelines.
  • Reports all workplace safety concerns to the appropriate personnel and takes corrective action when appropriate.
  • Ensures fellow associates are aware of and in compliance with all safety rules.
  • Identifies and addresses product or processing problems in a timely manner.
  • Palletizes finished cases per specifications.
  • Ensures that each case is properly labeled.
  • Ensures that each case is properly packaged and sealed.
  • Performs similar or associated duties as necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner as assigned by Production Leader.
  • Ensure product meets all Quality and GMP standards.
  • Packs product at all lines.
  • Manually grades, inspects product before final boxing according to product code specifications.
  • Assist in labeling, re-casing, repackaging and rework of product.
  • Performs minor troubleshooting and adjustments on equipment (when trained).
  • Adjust conveyors and guides on conveyors for various size product cases (when trained).
  • Set-up and change build scales for proper packing weight.
  • Perform periodic equipment inspections to identify worn parts of malfunctions requiring maintenance support (when trained).
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills, as well as good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to listen to and follow basic instructions and work routines.
  • Responsible for knowing and adhering to Good Manufacturing Standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to complete reports and forms.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules and instructions.
  • TPM Awareness understanding the lean philosophy of TPM and a safe working environment.
