About The Position

As an Associate Production team member in the Harvest Department you will slaughter, skin, trim, cut, eviscerate, and harvest our delicious, quality pork products. This factory position is needed for 8 - 10 hours a day, including Saturdays. Shift times may vary depending on the assigned area.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Comfortable working with animal blood and raw meat/or carcass parts
• Ability to safely work with knives (training is a plus!)
• Able to operate or work near mechanical production equipment and/or cutting tools
• Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including repetitive movement of grasping and pinching hands, flexing and extending arms, bending, twisting, and lifting or exerting a force of at least 35 lbs. while standing on concrete floors and/or platforms for extended periods of time
• Willing to work in hot environments (100+ degrees) and/or cold environments (around 20-40 degrees)
• Must be able to work in wet, humid and odorous environments
• Work while wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

• Team members will slaughter, skin trim cut, eviscerate and harvest meat products, working with machinery and cutting tools to ensure Safe Quality Food (SQF)
• Perform physically demanding work that requires attention to detail, strength, stamina and good hand-eye coordination (while keeping safety as top priority)
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere
