About The Position

Granicus is seeking a skilled Associate Product Manager with a background in software and a passion for destination marketing organizations and tourism. As an Associate Product Manager, you'll drive execution across agile teams by translating vision into actionable plans and managing a well-prioritized backlog across multiple value streams. You'll ensure delivery of high-impact features by balancing competing priorities, aligning cross-functional teams, and applying data-driven decision-making. You'll also oversee the development of complex, large-scale technical products, ensuring they meet market needs and business goals—especially in the realm of digital tools and automation technologies. Ideal candidates are curious, and have a knack for combining concrete data with anecdotal research to move the product forward every day.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business or Technical field of study
  • Passion for delivering high-quality technology products/services in a fast-moving environment where priorities and structures shift rapidly
  • Some knowledge of agile practices, including scrum and lean methodologies
  • High level of intellectual curiosity drives you to ask great questions and seek supporting data to interpret the most important needs of the product
  • Excellent organizational and quantitative analytical skills
  • Technical depth that enables you to understand and earn the respect of the engineers you work with
  • Ability to break priorities down into specific, manageable activities that deliver user value as quickly as possible
  • Strong communication skills that can tailor to different audiences

Responsibilities

  • Manage small team of data entry analysts in support of product
  • Act as the agile product owner on scrum team(s)
  • Own and prioritize the backlog for a feature area in collaboration with the Product Manager
  • Prioritize tradeoffs, clarify requirements and work to drive user stories to acceptance throughout the agile development lifecycle
  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings and provide feedback to the team
  • Ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined and verify that story implementation matches requirements
  • Drive projects to completion
  • Maintain constant communication with the team
  • Conduct webinars and presentations
  • Enable internal teams to support product
