As an Associate Product Manager at Medline Industries, you will work under the guidance of a Product Manager to provide day-to-day support for product management activities related to sourcing, marketing, and sales for assigned product lines. This role involves interacting with the sales force to address inquiries, cross-reference products, and prepare quotes. You may also be responsible for presenting training materials to the sales team, ensuring they are well-equipped to promote and sell the products effectively. Your responsibilities will include following up with the sales force by answering product-related questions via email and phone, cross-referencing competitive products with Medline's offerings, and preparing quotes for customers. You will assist in the development of marketing plans for your assigned product lines, which may involve conducting market research, supporting line extensions, new product development, creating marketing collateral, and determining pricing strategies. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and running reports that summarize and analyze the results of marketing promotions. Monitoring inventory levels will be a critical part of your role, as you will need to troubleshoot potential issues proactively. You will assess product samples against desired specifications, develop production plans, and create manufacturing forecasts while evaluating vendors in collaboration with Quality, sourcing resources, and product managers. Training programs for sales representatives will also be part of your responsibilities, where you will create and deliver training content and follow up to ensure effective field support. Furthermore, you will manage the setup of new products in the management system and oversee all item data inputs into SAP, Medline.com, PDM, and other representative-facing content.
