About The Position

The Associate Product Manager at Kemper Auto will be responsible for driving profit and growth by implementing business and pricing strategies for the non-standard auto line of business. This role involves detailed analysis to support the profitable growth of personal lines auto insurance products, ensuring that customer needs are met effectively.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product analyst experience.
  • Insurance experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in statistical and business analysis.
  • Education equivalent to a college degree in mathematics, statistics, risk management, actuarial, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with database querying required.
  • Experience with SAS, Tableau, PowerBI or similar desired.
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL, and SQL Server desired.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface at all levels of the organization.
  • Superb relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.

Responsibilities

  • Work on complex problems/projects requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Research and conduct high-quality analyses, reporting key product performance metrics.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data mining to understand historical patterns for business performance improvement.
  • Identify potential system opportunities or issues during data analysis and collaborate with Business Technology partners.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and independently drive for results.
  • Develop, analyze, maintain, and report performance scorecards.
  • Create scalable and flexible data reporting and analysis solutions for team needs.
  • Document programs, queries, and dashboards for reliable future use; automate useful reports and solutions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Kemper Auto Product on key data informing management decisions.
  • Partner with Product Managers to maintain a prioritized list of analyses.
  • Identify opportunities and determine key gaps.
