The Associate Product Manager will support the retail banking products delivered through a partnership with U.S. Bank. This role will partner with stakeholders within Edward Jones and U.S. Bank to drive product strategy and support the growth of current and future banking products. The role will primarily focus on driving the maturity of the initial offerings of checking accounts and credit cards, with potential growth into analyzing the feasibility of subsequent products such as mortgages, business checking accounts and/or affluent targeted credit cards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with preferred discipline, e.g., business, finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.
  • 3+ years of relevant financial services experience, insurance, product management, or consulting experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Retail banking product management, Supporting branch teams in a bank or financial services firm, Digital product management and development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience/advocacy with vendors.
  • Foundational knowledge of product line products.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Highly collaborative.
  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with systems and tools such as MS Office, Tableau and databases.

  • Progress toward advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred.
  • Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to support the retail banking product strategy and ensure branch teams have the products and support they need to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Gather insights and analysis of moderate complexity that inform product strategy and development.
  • Manage and maintain their portfolio of products including influencing recommendations to add, remove or change products or product partners.
  • Help shape and execute business plans that align with firm strategic direction.
  • Ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is effective, aligned and compliant with key firm messages.
  • Influence the development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience.
  • Help identify and prioritize product enhancements and maintain the digital product backlog and roadmap.
  • Interface with product partner peers, e.g., relationship managers, product analysts, divisional sales managers and operational managers.
  • Support the creation and delivery of operational level reporting and executive level communications.
  • Resolve service issues of a moderately complex or broad nature.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned Everyday Solutions products for the firm.
  • Support broad division, firm or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy.
