About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking an Associate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialist in support of configuration management activities for the Bombers and Site Tools Support organization in Oklahoma City, OK. As a PLM Specialist you will support the administration and daily use of our PLM systems, help maintain product data integrity, and assist cross-functional teams with configuration and change management activities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to learn PLM tools, lifecycle processes, and how product information flows through an aerospace organization. We rely on accurate product data, disciplined configuration management, and collaborative PLM processes to meet customer and regulatory requirements. This role provides hands-on experience supporting PLM across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainment teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience managing high level projects for Senior Leadership and Customers.
  • Assists with plans and processes.
  • Facilitate project, platform and program change board meetings.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in PLM, configuration management, technical documentation, or related internships.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Eagerness to learn PLM tools, integration workflows, and organizational processes.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools such as CMPRO, ENOVIA, or Agile.
  • Budget & Baseline Management: Define, manage, and baseline budgets for Statement of Work (SOW) tasks, including non-recurring (NRE) and recurring work.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM): Implement and maintain EVM processes, tracking cost, schedule, and value to assess project health.
  • Forecasting & Analysis: Develop and maintain Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Estimates to Complete (ETCs), performing variance analyses to explain performance deviations.
  • Performance Reporting: Compile financial and performance data for weekly/periodic reports, providing forecasts and insights to leadership.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify, quantify, and manage risks and opportunities within the control account.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project teams, procurement, and customers to align financial performance with technical execution.
  • Compliance & Process: Ensure proper charging, validate control account authorization, and adhere to program management best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the financial and performance aspects of specific project work packages, focusing on Earned Value Management (EVM) to control scope, schedule and cost, developing EAC/ETC, analyzing variances, tracking trends, and collaborating across teams (engineering, program management, suppliers) to ensure budgets and goals are met.
  • Set control account budgets, track actuals, perform variance analysis, forecast, and ensure compliance with financial standards.
  • Help maintain configuration baselines and traceability between requirements, design artifacts, and release packages.
  • Participate in PLM data audits, cleanup, and migration activities to improve accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in Boeing & Customer face-to-face negotiations associated with contract budgeted hours.
  • Assist with PLM reporting and metric collection (e.g., release throughput, data completeness).
  • Follow quality, safety, and compliance requirements when handling technical data.
