The Associate Product Development Designer will be an integral part of the Rug Development Design team. Requirements

• 3+ years textile design / weaving experience
• Graphic art / print experience
• Knowledge of fabric / weave structure
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and punctual
• Strong problem-solving skills, organizational habits, and team player
• Knowledge of computer-aided design programs (such as NedGraphics / Texcelle, and Adobe Suite)

Responsibilities

• Creating rug weaving specifications and designs in response to given briefs and amending designs where necessary
• Quality control: analyze rug production and samples for rug weave specification accuracy
• Prepare yarn cards and rug poms for client presentations
• Maintaining and organizing development samples, color tools, and studio working spaces
• Prepare warps and wefts, dress loom
• Weave rug samples
